Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.6.4 – Moindou

This release fixes a few rather important issues that have popped up since the 1.6 release. It is particularly applicable to those of us using some of the more advanced features of the content pages.

You are encouraged to upgrade your sites to CMSMS 1.6.4 as soon as possible, as we now only support CMSMS 1.6.3 and 1.6.4

- Fixes a problem with the showinmenu option not being available to other content types
- Fixes a problem with the lang stuff and a required reference operator
- Fixes a problem with checksum verification and generation
- Fixes a problem in filemanager where access time was shown and not creation time.
- Adds tabindex to the list of selectable properties in the site preferences.
- Fixes a problem with 404 errors if using internal pretty urls, and adding parameters to the URL
- Fixes a problem with the parent page property for restricted content editors.

    For the first time in a while, I didn’t have to reset TinyMCE to the default settings after upgrading. Cool!

    I have a site for which the root url is https for everything.

    I installed the upgrade from 1.6.3 to 1.6.4 and now every single link on the entire site starts with httpss.

    So something must have changed in the way it handles https urls.

    I have an account at brinkster.com. I have written a few websites for others with both html and visual studio 2005. How would I be able to use this software? I am not clear as to what access I would need to a server?? or would I just be able to install some of/all or the code in a virtual directory on my account at Brinkster? I have looked around this site, but I don’t seem to see much about how to install this software.

    how long is it going to get a version which can be used with PHP 5.3? I really need this ;)
